To all my patients,

After almost 30 years of practicing ophthalmology, I am announcing my retirement and closing my office on August 28, 2023. It is with very mixed emotions that this decision is being made. Several personal factors have come together over the past year to make this the right time. There is no doubt that I will miss what I have enjoyed doing for so many years, however, I know it’s time for me now to step away. I am privileged to have been a part of your lives for the last 3 decades. Every single one of you has impacted my life in more ways than you will ever know. I am honored that you have allowed me to be a part of you and your family’s journey. And you have been a tremendous part of mine. It has been a gift. Thank you. I will continue seeing patients through June and July 2023. My wonderful optometrists, Dr Ellen Ong and Dr Barbara Nguyen will be seeing patients through mid-August 2023. If you would like an appointment please call 650-259-0300 to schedule. Our Optical Department will be open for ordering prescription glasses through July 2023. You may continue to order contact lenses and purchase sunglasses and frames through August 2023. On my website, I have posted a list of Pediatric Ophthalmologists, Pediatric Optometrists, and Myopia Control Specialists, from San Francisco to San Jose. If you need additional help finding a new eye doctor, you may ask your pediatrician or primary care physician. You may also request and pay for our medical records on our website through the “Medical Records Request” tab. My plans going forward are a bit open ended at this point, but if the next chapter of my life is half as rewarding as my time spent with all of you, I will be a very lucky woman. Please accept my thanks and my appreciation. I wish you all the best!
